An Intimate Table Layout

There’s something especially fitting about an intimate wedding in the mountains, and this 50-person celebration was a perfect example.

After a ceremony tucked into the rugged San Juan Mountains, guests returned to The Wyman Hotel in Silverton for dinner and celebrations in the courtyard. The smaller guest count gave the couple the freedom to rethink a traditional reception layout and create something that felt more connected.

The tables were arranged in a U-shape, with the couple seated at the center, creating the feeling that everyone was gathered around one table. Guests could easily see and talk with one another, while the continuous tablescape allowed the couple’s design and décor to flow beautifully throughout the courtyard.

The Wyman can host celebrations larger than 50 guests, but this wedding showed just how well the space lends itself to a micro-wedding or intimate destination wedding in Silverton. It felt warm, personal, and incredibly connected, with the mountains just beyond the courtyard.
